Western Washington University College Credits
Western Washington University (WWU or Western) is one of six public universities in the U.S. state of Washington. WWU offers a variety of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. The university is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; American Speech and Hearing Association; National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education; and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.
WWU offers 2 graduate-level credits for completing 19.5 hours of coursework. Attendees registering for WWU credits must attend an entire live or virtual conference (all three days) OR complete 19.5 credit hours of self-paced courses on our companion website, https://learn.rehabseminars.org. Instructions for Registering for WWU College Credit at a Virtual Conference
Add the Graduate Credit option to your registration. Please note that you must attend all 3 days of a conference OR complete 3 full self-paced courses to qualify for WWU credit.
When you opt for Graduate Credit, you will receive a WWU application packet. See below for more details.
You must sign in morning and afternoon each day of a live conference.
At the conclusion of each course, complete the post-course evaluation at the link provided on your Conference Access Page or within the e-learning platform for self-paced courses.
To enroll for graduate credit, you must submit ALL application materials. These consist of:
WWU Enrollment Form*
Written Assignment*: 5 short narratives describing case studies from your practice and how the learning from this conference will impact your work in these cases
Course Evaluations: If not already done each day, be sure you have submitted a course evaluation for each of the 3 conference days
*For virtual conference events, forms are provided after Graduate Credit add-on is completed.
*For self-paced courses, complete the Credit Selector within the course listing to opt in and access forms.
We are generally able to allow a few days after a virtual conference for you to complete these items. Please reach out to CEAdmin@rehabseminars.org for more information on the submission deadline for a given conference. Evaluation forms are disabled 3 days after a conference.
Once all your materials are submitted, Rehab Seminars will submit a completed registration packet on your behalf. The WWU Outreach and Continuing Education office will send a receipt to your e-mail address upon receiving your completed submission and tuition payment. The timing of notification from WWU will vary and depends upon where the conference falls within the academic quarter. An unofficial transcript showing your course completion will be issued after the end of the quarter in which you completed all coursework. To confirm that WWU has received your submission, you may contact Jenny Hebert, Mgr. Planning and Special Course Services – Outreach and Continuing Education at (360) 650-7780 or hebert@wwu.edu. If you have any questions about this process, please email CEAdmin@rehabseminars.org.
How to read your WWU transcript:
You may request an official college transcript from WWU. Please view the language that appears on the back of your copy of Western’s transcript. Please note the “course numbering” section that officially lists a 500 level course as graduate coursework. Also, see the section regarding “undergraduate and graduate levels”. This explains “student status”. If you require additional documentation regarding your graduate-level college credits, please email ceadmin@rehabseminars.org.
